Welcome to a collection of words by me, CM. I’m Christine and my blog Punch the Clouds is about well, anything and everything and for everyone. Yes, that includes you my misfit brethren.
So far I’ve mainly concentrated on topics like the meaning of life, human behavior, spirituality, death, reincarnation, life lessons, anxiety, depression, relationships – you know, a lot of deep, existential stuff. I throw in some lighthearted, sarcastic and (hopefully) amusing anecdotes because well, that’s what I do.
Wherever the winds of writing take me, that’s where I go.
I offer my thoughts on whatever strikes me, touches me and the underlying themes that strike us all. I hope in my not-always-grammatically-correct way something I write speaks to you, opens your eyes, your mind and your heart or at least induces a polite chuckle.
This shit called human life is hard, even harder for us self-proclaimed misfits.
Punch the clouds = stand up, speak up, fear not. Say what you want, stand by your thoughts and ideas, however odd and misfitty, be who you are, the good, the bad and the ugly (I think that was a movie).
We all have a unique story. Mine has been a crazy one filled with a lot of fear and doubt.
Now it’s time to punch through some shit.
I hope through my writing I inspire you to let your voice be heard, put some power in that fist, raise your arm and break through whatever clouds may be over your head.
As hard and shitty as life can be, it’s also way too short to live under the grey.
I have to admit I kinda stole this title from Queen’s Freddy Mercury. Before he went on stage at the Live Aid concert in 1985 he said, “we’ll go punch a hole through the roof of that stadium.” His bandmates told him Wembley Stadium doesn’t have a roof.
He said, “then we’ll punch a hole in the sky.”
